GPOYW (heh)…on second thought, fuck it. This is a photo of me from last January when my Grave’s Disease what at its worst. Yes, I look absolutely grotesque. Obviously, I have Grave’s exophthalmos—i.e. my eyes awfully protrude. For a while I wore oversized sunglasses so I wouldn’t unwittingly send people ambiguous looks. I had lost thirty pounds from my regular weight and I had trouble, hence the baggy clothing. Also, my hair is noticably thinner. Lastly, I had trouble keeping warm and this is why I am wearing my winter coat in even pretty temperate weather. In fact, I wore that jacket until April!
While I’m still being treated for the condition, I’ve reached a pretty stable point. I take only 5 mg of medicine daily, as opposed to the 120 mg that I had to take initially.
