You know how on How I Met Your Mother they do the thing where they’re like ‘brocabulary’ and ‘Eric Slapton?’ What is that device called? The substituting of one word into another word to make a pun-y superseded word?
blend/portmanteau/tmetic blending (I just made that one up to cover “Slapton”. A proper example of tmesis would be “legen-wait for it-dary”.)
